Well, this website has been online for quite some time, since 2013 actually. The original purpose of this site was simply to display a CV. Today, the purpose of this site is still the same: to display my CV. I’ve added a blog to it. For me, it’s a test to see how I handle writing something, leaving a trace of the things I do with passion, with a different perspective. I have no pretensions of course, except to share knowledge, a discovery, a development, a trick, however trivial it may be.
This site has taken different forms over time… This page is written to trace its journey:
Version 4 - Hugo
Since 2025
This version of this website is designed with Hugo. A tool I’m eager to explore in more detail. But essentially, with Hugo you can focus on the content. All within a minimalist framework. Which is perfect for being delivered by a Kubernetes cluster with very frugal resource consumption.
Version 3 - WordPress
2021 - 2025
This version was built with WordPress. The idea behind switching to such a tool was to abstract away from pure website development. Development that takes a lot of time.
- Theme Astra
- Icons FontAwesome
Version 2 - A new theme
2017 - 2021
Developed on the same base as the previous version, this is simply a new theme inspired by the text editor SublimeText. And yes, there was a time when it was the Rolls-Royce of text editors.
This version is available here (https://oldjean.bordat.me/v1). Warning, it is no longer maintained
- Symfony 2
- Twig
- Bootstrap 2
- Custom theme “SublimeText”
Version 1 - The origins
2013 - 2017
Just a fully developed, designed, automated blog. I’ve kept a version online available here (https://oldjean.bordat.me): Warning, this version is no longer maintained.
- Symfony 2
- Twig
- Bootstrap 2
- Custom theme “Professional”
